How to play
Explore 134 playable diagnoses and presentations across 19 DSM-based groups. The roster includes selected syndromes and presentations, with some diagnoses intentionally omitted to keep the game intuitive.
- Read the first clue — an initial patient presentation.
- Type the DSM-5 diagnosis you think is most likely in the search box and submit your guess.
- If wrong, a new clue is revealed — each one more specific than the last.
- You have 6 clues and 6 guesses. Solve the case in as few guesses as possible.
- Share your result and come back tomorrow for a new case.
Today's daily DSM-5 case is free in both Classic and Hard Mode. Case Hard Mode is not a Plus feature, and the Clinical Overview after a case is also free.
Signed-out players can open the last 7 scheduled daily archive cases, while signed-in free players can open the last 14. Plus unlocks the full daily archive.
Plus also unlocks Practice Mode, today's real Criterions board and past Criterions, and the Reasoning and Differentials tabs. Active subscribers and designated complimentary accounts can create one colleague gift link every 30 days; a claimed link grants 30 days of Plus, only one unclaimed link can be active, and it expires after 30 days. A recipient can claim one gift in their lifetime, and members cannot claim their own links.
Criterions is a separate Connections-style grouping puzzle with its own streak and stats, not a second daily case. Plus members get today's real board, while free players replay the same demo. DSMdle is available in English and Spanish. Current monthly and annual prices are listed on the pricing page.
